EMERGENCY LOCATION RADIO BEACONS AND SAR EQUIPMENT
Emergency location radio beacons are important for the location phase in the event of a shipwreck or any emergency at sea.The reason for this is because they allow ships or survivors to be located quickly via satellite or radar. These are manufactured according to SOLAS, GMDSS, IMO and other related regulations.
The COSPAS/SARSAT system allows a rapid location of vessels, planes or people in an emergency anywhere in the world. This system has 5 components:
1. Vessel, plane or person in emergency
2. Satellites
3. Ground listening stations
4. Mission control centers
5. Rescue control centers
6. Rescue Force
Emergency Locating Radio Beacon (EPIRB)
We offer last generation SOLAS/GMDSS/MED/USCG EPIRBs with built-in GPS and AIS signal. In all cases, the equipment has both manual and automatic activation upon contact with water. In turn, we offer a full factory warranty, 5 years with regulatory service in Peru.
EPIRBs are of mandatory use on all vessels according to SOLAS chapter IV.
Personal Radio Beacons
We also have Personal latest generation Radio Beacons (PLB); its small size allows it to be easily carried by pilots, hikers or used individually in life jackets. All of which have a built-in GPS, so they allow an exact location at sea, mountains or jungle.
Radar Transponders
They allow the location of a survival craft or individual in an emergency, to be rapidly located by X-band radars. These are of mandatory use according to SOLAS, chapter III, part B, section I, rule 6.2. In addition, in case of ship abandonment, they must be taken to the survival craft.
GMDSS two-way VHF radios
GMDSS two-way VHF radios allow easy communication in case of emergency, they are of mandatory use according to SOLAS, chapter III, part B, section I, rule 6.2 for all vessels of more than 300 TAB. In addition, in case of ship abandonment, they must be taken to the survival craft. Furthermore, we offer the latest generation of two-way and multi-channel VHF radios with SOLAS/GMDSS/MED (
