SOLAS/LSA Life Rafts:
SOLAS Regulations in its CHAPTER III, Rule 21, Rule 26 and Rule 31 require the use of life rafts per band for 100 % of the number of people on board any vessel. There may be variations for smaller vessels according to the specific flag requirements. The features of every life raft are stated in the INTERNATIONAL LIFE-SAVING APPLIANCE CODE (LSA Code), CHAPTER IV, Rules 4.1, 4.2 y 4.3.

SOLAS/LSA Hydrostatic Release Systems:
SOLAS states that every life rafts must have a hydrostatic release system, whose main component is the hydrostatic release. The features this equipment is to meet can be found in the INTERNATIONAL LIFE-SAVING APPLIANCE CODE (LSA Code), CHAPTER IV, Rules 4.1.6
